I have now lived in Louisiana long enough to attend both the spring and fall outside sales at the Old Schoolhouse Antiques Mall in Washington, LA. I love taking photos of all the gorgeous old junk*. It has such great texture.
And I don't know why, but the awesome little Golden Half is a great camera for this locale. Something about junk really lends itself to the diptych. Either both images sort of go together (tarnished silver flatware and rusted metal headboards) or they don't go together at all (old dolls and bottles); either way it's a charming format. And I love the random spots of not-quite-in-focus you get with this camera.
*"Junk" is here used affectionately.

I'd heard that sometimes this model of camera will have a light leak in whatever color the camera is. I was totally chuffed to get these back today and find a bright green splotch on some of my photos! Just another one of those charming flaws we love in our cheap old box cameras.
Film was Kodak Portra 160VC, re-spooled by me onto a 620 spool, inside a changing bag.
I'm pretty sure this happened because the XXXTREME humidity fogged up the lens.
This is probably my favorite from the entire roll.
Local yumminess! Eggplant is very popular here, BTW.

p.s. Tomorrow is 620 Day! If you have 620 cameras, use them!
